Mike Potel is VP of Technology Development at Taligent Inc., where he supervises technology evaluations, alliances, external communications and advanced development. He worked for Apple for several years, and has been a member of Taligent's staff since the company's inception in 1992.
Theo Mandel is the author of "The GUI-OOUI War," a book examining all aspects of graphical and object-oriented interfaces. He has a background in cognitive psychology and worked for IBM for 12 years in the user interface architecture department. His remarks here are a condensation of his consulting and education seminars, presented to corporations worldwide. In his spare time, he coordinates new racquet testing for Tennis Magazine.
Don Norman is an Apple fellow, and provides a key voice in the development of future Macintosh operating system aspects. He served on the faculty of Harvard University and the University of California, San Diego, and has maintained a close working relationship with the computer and aviation industries. He has written several books, including "Things That Make Us Smart" and "Turn Signals are the Facial Impressions of Automobiles."
